Horizontal centrifugal cast is basically double casting, in which, first pour shell layer materials into rotating metal mold and reverse the metal mold after complete solidification and then inject inner core material, this technique has edge over multifunction material field along with its accumulated bonding techniques.

With the latest large size horizontal centrifugal caster, we are producing various composite rolls having uniform surface thickness and structure achieved by our own manufacturing technique.

Working rolls for roughing stands require wear resistance, heat-crack resistance and be relatively free from scale banding. In addition, the roll machines must reduce slippage to a minimum in order to increase rolling speed and the quality of the strip product.

SHGI Rolls(DIS-1) has a hardness(Hs)45-50 and is most suitable for roughing stand because it is highly resistant to heat cracking.

For intermediate and finishing stand centrifugal high speedsteel(DXS-C) with high hardness and high strong and also centrifugal CCGI(DIW-2C) Roll are commonly provided. Especially, CCGI Roll is preferred due to its high hardness as well as high surface quality.
